Description
In this project, the task was to create a publication on a selected subject. The final deliverables of the project include, three covers, a table of contents spread, two or more feature article spreads, and two or more interview article spreads.
Concept Creation
The first step of the project was to create an in-depth concept of the publication that includes a brief publication description and several words to describe the publication.
Sketching
After compiling a few typeface options to base sketches on, several sketches were made to explore a wordmark for the publication that encapsulates different words used in the previous concept description.
Digital Iterations
After sketching and picking a direction for the wordmark, several digital iterations were made refining the design.
Final Wordmark
Image Search
Before starting on page layouts, images to place inside the publication pages were researched.
Layout Exploration
After completing the wordmark several layout prototypes were made for the different pages of the publication.
